(1) When the final list of candidates is published in a province in accordance with section 24 of the Ordinance, if there are as many or less candidates than the number of candidates required to be elected from any group as per section 3 of the Ordinance, the election officer shall announce that such candidate has been elected unopposed in accordance with section 25 of the Ordinance. The information must be given to the Commission immediately. (2) The election officer will give the certificate of election to the candidate who is elected unopposed in accordance with sub-rule (1) after the end of the time specified for voting.
